MineVital's Water-Based line is a formulation that lives on the same plane as water itself. The dried polish film is permeable to liquid water contact; the odor is low and application is light. This line consists of 26 shades.

The Breathable line (~50 shades) is a classic solvent-based formulation. The dried film has a micro-porous structure that is not sealed to moisture vapor. Measured by SGS SERCOVAM under ISO 2528.
The Water-Based line (26 shades) is permeable to liquid water contact. Measured by EuroLab. Color depth and wear differ; which line suits you depends on your priority.

Yes. For the Water-Based line, EuroLab (Istanbul) performed a liquid water contact test. For the Breathable line, SGS SERCOVAM (France) measured moisture vapor transmission. The full text of both reports is public on our site.

Breathable line (solvent-based): SGS SERCOVAM (Cestas, France), report RES 117034 A, 30 May 2013, under NF ISO 2528 at 38 °C and 90 % relative humidity. Sample F6345 averaged 194 g/(m²·24h). As a brand, we do not answer this question in the form of a verdict. The scholarly criterion is: water reaching the nail. What MineVital does is test that criterion in an independent laboratory and publish the result transparently. The decision — consulting a scholar if you wish — is yours.

Yes. No animal-derived ingredients, no animal testing.

Clean and de-oil the nail surface. Apply in two thin coats; allow each coat a few minutes to dry. A base coat is not required for the water-based line; it is optional for the classic line.

Two coats of color usually give full coverage. Pale shades may need three; deep shades often need one.

It depends on wear and nail structure. Average wear lasts several days; frequent water contact may shorten this.

Water contact does not remove the film; a nail polish remover is required. The Water-Based line comes off with an acetone-free remover; the Breathable line takes a standard remover.
