Lab Evidence
Lab Evidence
MineVital's permeability claim rests on two separate independent laboratory measurements. Both reports can be downloaded in full from this page. This page is the single, permanent source for journalists, partners and researchers.
Breathable line (solvent-based)
- Laboratory: SGS SERCOVAM — Cestas, France
- Standard: NF ISO 2528
- Report no: RES 117034 A — 30 May 2013
- Conditions: 38 °C, 90 % relative humidity, five separate cups
- Measured: Water vapour transmission through the dried polish film
- Result: Average 194 g/(m²·24h)
- Commissioned by: FIABILA (contract manufacturer)

Water-Based line
- Laboratory: EUROLAB Laboratuvar A.Ş. — Istanbul, Türkiye
- Report no: 2025110755 — 7 November 2025
- Measured: Liquid water passing through the dried polish film
- Result: Blotting paper placed beneath the film became wet in approximately 4–5 seconds

What these numbers do not say
We publish the limits of the evidence as well:
- The SGS measurement describes water vapour transmission, not liquid water. A home napkin-and-droplet test is not the equivalent of this measurement for the Breathable line.
- The EuroLab measurement applies to the Water-Based line only. The two lines' data are not interchangeable.
- Matte and Quick Dry top coats are outside the scope of the SGS measurement; like any additional layer they reduce permeability.
- We do not compare ourselves with other brands.
- These measurements are not a health claim.
